​PUBLIC WORKS LABORER / OPERATOR – Experienced applicants sought for a full time opening at the New Brighton Borough Public Works Department.  Duties include a full range of municipal public works activities including, but not limited to, sewer line maintenance, street cleaning, road maintenance, snow removal, park maintenance, and building and equipment maintenance.  Candidates shall demonstrate a high degree of mechanical aptitude with an ability to repair and maintain a wide variety of equipment common to a municipal public works department.  Backhoe operator skills and sewer line maintenance experience highly desired.  Experience driving and operating equipment with a manual transmission is required.  Candidates must be physically capable of performing maintenance/repair tasks that require manual labor, heavy lifting, and working in an outdoor environment; be available for overtime and emergency call out work; possess a High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent; possess and maintain a valid Pennsylvania Driver's License; and obtain a valid Pennsylvania CDL license within 6 months of appointment.  A pre-employment drug test and physical exam are required.  Competitive salary, healthcare, and retirement package is offered.   Interested applicants should submit a resume by email to jobs@newbrightonpa.org by November 8, 2024.
