POLICE OFFICER - Qualified persons are invited to apply to the New Brighton Borough Civil Service Commission to take competitive examinations leading to eligibility for appointment as a police officer in the New Brighton Area Police Department.  An application form and details of the selection process are available online by clicking the link below.

Requirements:  Residency within a 15 mile radius of New Brighton required within 18 months of appointment.  Applicants must be PA Act 120 certified prior to appointment, possess a High School diploma or equivalent, hold a PA Class C operator’s license or equivalent, be a U.S. citizen, be physically and mentally fit to perform the full duties of a police officer, and meet all other Civil Service requirements.
